About:

Local Cheese Producers with long history in the business. Received awards for Best PDO/PGI Cheese in the Special category, and a Gold Medal in the Modern British Hard Cheese Category in the 2007 British Cheese Awards.  They also have 2 Silver medals in the 2008 British Cheese Awards for the Modern British and Flavour Added Categories. Original recipe Swaledale cheese produced here along with a wide range of goats, ewes, cows and speciality cheeses. In the same year they also received a 3 Star Gold Award for Goats Milk Cheese, Natural Rind and two 1 Star Gold Awards for Cows Milk Cheese Natural Rind, and Ewes Milk Cheese Natural Rind in The Great Taste Awards 2008.  Also a Gold and Bronze Award for the World Cheese Awards 2008.  They now have a 3 Star Gold Award for 'Swaledale Blue-Natural Rind' and a 1 Star Gold Award for the 'Swaledale Goats - Natural Rind' in the 2009 Great Taste Awards with 2 Gold Awards for their 'Goats Milk' and their 'Blue Cows Milk' cheeses in the 2009 World Cheese Awards.  The 2009 British Cheese Awards gave them a Silver and 2 Bronze Awards.
